ノンデイト自動巻。エアキングRef.5500の上位機種にあたるRef.1002です。薄型ケースに丸みのあるドーム型風防でヴィンテージらしい装着感です。ダイヤルはシルバーのサンレイ。ドルフィンハンド × 多面カットのバーインデックスのコンビネーションはドレッシーなフェイスに力強い印象を与えます。バーインデックスは幅狭ですが、3.6.9にボリュームを持たせ、いいバランス感です。シンプルなフェイスですが、ノンデイトなのが潔く、インデックスでしっかり個性を引き出しています。
搭載ムーブメントであるCal.1560はテンワの慣性モーメントを調整することで、時計の進み遅れを調整する「フリースプラング」を採用。ロレックスで緩急針を初めて取り除いたムーブメントです。ひげぜんまいへの余計な負荷が少なく、長期的に精度安定、等時性安定を実現できます。しかしながら、その具現化には高精度なパーツ製造技術や繊細な調整技術が必要ですので、当時のロレックスの技術力の高さを感じます。クロノメーター仕様のムーブメントは衝撃に強く、精度が安定していることから、安心して日常的に楽しめます。
ケースは目立った傷や打痕が見られず、良好なプロポーションを保っています。ダイヤルはわずかにポツポツとした経年変化を表しています。肉眼でさほど気になるものではありません。評価の対象となる重要なポイントとして、ドットの夜光が変色や崩れなく残っています。クラウンロゴや、インデックス、針に関してはくすみがほとんど見られません。リベットブレスは伸びが少なく、こちらも嬉しいところです。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、48時間以上のパワーリザーブを確認しています。

Non-date automatic. Ref.1002, an upper-class model compared to the Air-King Ref.5500. The slim case with a domed crystal offers a vintage-inspired and comfortable wearing experience. The dial features a silver sunray finish, dauphine hands, and multi-faceted bar indices, creating a dressy face with a robust impression. While the bar indices are narrow, the volume is accentuated at 3, 6, 9, achieving a well-balanced appearance. The simplicity of the face, coupled with the absence of a date window, emphasizes the individuality through the indices.
The movement, Cal.1560, incorporates the "free-sprung" balance, a Rolex innovation eliminating the need for a regulator index. This ensures minimal disturbance to the hairspring, leading to long-term precision stability and isochronism. The Chronometer-grade movement excels in shock resistance, providing reliable performance for daily use.
The case maintains excellent proportions without noticeable scratches or dents. The dial exhibits minor aging spots, barely perceptible to the naked eye. Noteworthy is the well-preserved luminescent material, with no signs of discoloration or degradation. Crown logo, indices, and hands show little patina. The rivet bracelet has minimal stretch, offering added appeal. Having undergone disassembly and cleaning at our facility, the watch boasts a power reserve of over 48 hours.
