機械式時計最盛期、1963年製のデイデイトです。金無垢とプラチナのみで展開されているデイデイトは、フルスペルで曜日が表示される初のモデルでした。18金無垢のオイスターケースはフルーテッドベゼルの輝きが美しく重厚感があります。ホワイトゴールドのものは扱いやすく、特に人気が高いです。ダイヤルはサンレイで、シンプルな仕上げなだけに素材の良さが堪能できます。1963年製ですので、6時位置はSWISS表記のみです。針はこの年式のみ採用された、デイデイト専用の物です。インデックスは6.9時の独自の形状から、ドアストップダイヤルと親しまれている人気のダイヤルデザインです。当時のホワイトゴールド製の竜頭とブレスレットが付属する、希少な個体です。バックルのクラスプデイトは63/4です。クロノメーター証明書、保証書、冊子が付属します。

搭載ムーブメントはデイデイト専用Cal.1555。テンワの慣性モーメントを調整することで、時計の進み遅れを調整する「フリースプラング」を採用。ひげぜんまいへの余計な負荷が少なく、長期的に精度安定、等時性安定を実現できます。

ケースは使用傷が少なく、肉厚でプロポーションに優れます。2時のラグ裏のホールマークと18Kの刻印がしっかりと視認できるのがポイントです。ダイヤルはミントコンディションです。高倍率のルーペで覗いても、経年変化はほとんど確認できません。針とインデックスは上面の鏡面仕上げが美しく輝きます。ダイヤルと針のルミナスは欠落のない、パーフェクトコンディションです。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ48時間以上を確認しています。

This is a Rolex Day-Date from the peak of mechanical watchmaking in 1963. The Day-Date, available only in solid gold and platinum, was the first model to display the day of the week in full spelling. The 18k solid gold Oyster case with its fluted bezel exudes a beautiful shine and a sense of luxury. White gold versions are particularly popular due to their ease of handling. The sunray dial, with its simple finish, allows the quality of the material to shine through. The hands are unique to this model year, and this particular piece comes with the rare white gold crown and bracelet. The clasp code for the buckle is 63/4. It comes with a chronometer certificate, warranty, and booklet.

The movement powering this watch is the Day-Date exclusive Cal.1555. It features a "free-sprung" balance, adjusting the inertia moment of the balance wheel to regulate the watch's timing. This design minimizes additional stress on the hairspring, ensuring long-term accuracy stability and isochronism.

The case shows minimal signs of use, remaining thick and well-proportioned. The hallmarks and 18k stamp on the back of the lug at 2 o'clock are clearly visible. The dial is in mint condition, with hardly any signs of aging even under high magnification. The hands and indexes shine beautifully with their polished finish. The luminous material on the dial and hands is intact, presenting a perfect condition. It has been disassembled, cleaned, and checked for a power reserve of over 48 hours by our workshop.

The Day-Date, introduced in 1956, was the world's first waterproof chronometer wristwatch to display the date and day of the week.
